Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago I discovered a large lump on my 4year old cat Josie's leg. After numerous tests and biopsies we'vedetermined it is an aggressive fiborous sarcoma, a cancerous mass thatwill continue to grow until she eventually can't use her hind leg andthen dies. (Which is predicted to be only a few months)
Untilnow I didn't know anything about this form of cancer; VaccineAssociated Sarcoma, in which animals can develop cancerous tumors atthe injection site where they receive common and needed vaccines.
Thevets say the only hope is to amputate the leg in effort to completelyremove the cancerous area and any surrounding cells. Unfortunately thisis not even a garunteed cure, but its the best we can do.
Anyof you animal lovers - Josie and I, and her brother and sister Kali andToby would really appreciate your help and donations.
She is scheduled for surgery this Thursday September 3rd.
It will most likely total around $2400, not including roughly $1200 already spent on tests and biopsies.
We really appreciate your generousity and prayers.
Thanks from Erin and Josie!
